International Red Panda Day – Red Panda (Ailurus fulgens)
- These small mostly arboreal mammals are also known as the Lesser Panda.
- Red pandas live in high-altitude forests of Nepal, India, Bhutan, Myanmar and China.
- They prefer a solitary and nocturnal lifestyle.
- Red Pandas are mainly active during the twilight hours until the early hours of the morning.
- During the daylight hours, they are found resting or snoozin, lying dangled or curled up on tree branches.
