I joined Foster Parents Plan in January 2002 as a child sponsor. Kenya was the place I chose to sponsor a child because I have seen first hand, travelling through parts of Kenya and Tanzania, the extreme poverty and harsh conditions in which many children and families live in.

My sponsor child’s name is Samson M.O. I sponsored him when he was 3 years old, from January 2002 until October 2016, until he reached the age of 18, when he graduated from the sponsorship program.

October 2016 – I received a new sponsor Bob A.O. who is 14 years old and lived in western Kenya near Lake Victoria. ** Unfortunately, Bob’s family moved out of the community so loses the support from Foster Parents Plan programs and sponsorship.**

March 2019, I received a new sponsor child, Maxim M.M. He is 6 years old and lives on the eatern side of Kenya next to the Indian Ocean. ** Unfortunately, Maxim’s family moved out of the community so he and his family loses the support from Foster Parents Plan programs and sponsorship.**

I received a new sponsor child in In February 2020. His name is Hamisi, K. He is 11 years old. and lives in the eastern region of Kilifi in Kenya. Hamisi attends primary school and his favorite activities are languages, reading and writing. He has not suffered any serious illnesses. The nearest health facility is 45 minutes away. (Update June 2022)
