- Cheetahs are the fastest land animal reaching top speed in 3 seconds
- They are active mainly during the day (diurnal) whereas leopards, tigers, and lions are nocturnal
- This wild cat has “semi non-retractable” claws (almost like dog claws) that work like the cleats on a football shoe to give the cheetah a lot of traction when running
- Cheetahs purrs like a house cat and do not roar like a lion
