- The Capybara is the largest living rodent looking like a giant guinea pig that is native to South America.
- Capybara are a semi-aquatic mammal found throughout South America except Chile.
- The Capybara lives on savannas and in dense forests which are close to bodies of water; lakes, rivers, swamps, and tropical rivers.
- It is an excellent swimmer and can hold its breath for 5 minutes at a time.
