Canadian Wildlife – Canada is home to over 80,000 species. Among all those species about 47 300 are native to Canada. There are approximately 200 mammal species, over 460 bird species, over 40 amphibian species, over 40 reptile species, and over 1,200 fish species in Canada. Insects account for nearly 70 percent of recorded animal species in Canada.
